Episode 27: Designing Your Future: Creating a Vivid Vision for 2025

Listen Here

In this transformative solo episode, Dave Wolcott explores one of the most overlooked foundations of wealth creation — vision. Joined by visionary strategist Jennifer Hudye, founder of Vision Driven and partner of Cameron Herold (author of Vivid Vision), this conversation dives deep into how top entrepreneurs clarify, articulate, and live out their three-year vision for both business and life.

Jennifer shares her own powerful story — from hitting career milestones like working with Tony Robbins to realizing success without clarity feels empty. Through her journey, she discovered that true fulfillment and momentum come not from chasing goals but from designing a vivid, integrated vision that guides every decision.

Listeners will learn how to identify their North Star, communicate it effectively with their team and family, and use it as a filter to separate aligned opportunities from seductive distractions. Whether you’re scaling a company or refining your next chapter, this episode will inspire you to think bigger, act with intention, and build wealth through clarity and purpose.

How’s it going, everyone, and welcome to a special solo series of Wealth Strategy Secrets of the Ultra-Wealthy. I’m your host, Dave Wolcott. We get a lot of the same questions from our investors about infinite banking, tax efficiency, asset protection, strategy stacking, and how to actually build wealth outside of Wall Street. And we get it. We know you’re busy. So in this series, I’m breaking down complex wealth strategy topics into short tactical episodes that you can actually use to build legacy wealth.

Whether you’re just starting your journey or fine-tuning your portfolio, these episodes are designed to give you high-impact insights in just a few minutes. So let’s dive in.

All right, and I’d love to take a little two-part poll here as well. So just in the chat box, if you wouldn’t mind sharing, on a scale of one to ten, one being not at all and ten being crystal clear, how clear are you on your vision — your three-year vision for the future? And three-year vision being both for the business, and you can even do it separately for the business, scale of one to ten, and then personally, scale of one to ten. How clear are you on your vision for the future?

Awesome. 8, 9, 7, 8, 9, 7, 8, 9, 7. Okay, awesome. And then the next book. Perfect. Thanks, Dennis. Five, six. Perfect. Okay, so we got some experienced visionaries here.

And then, scale of one to ten now — one not at all, ten being very well articulated — how clearly communicated are those around you of your vision? So your leadership team, the rest of your team, your family — scale of one to ten.

So, well, first off, it’s really good to meet each one of you here, and I’m excited to be with you all. My name is Jennifer Hoody Moscow. I’m the founder of a company called Vision Driven, and I’m partnered alongside a guy named Cameron Herald, who wrote the book Vivid Vision.

Over the last eight and a half years, coming up on nine years, my organization solely focuses on helping entrepreneurs, CEOs, and founders to really clarify what their three-year vision is for the future, and being able to well articulate that vision so that they can align and focus their team, recruit top talent, gain clarity when scaling up if they’re in a big transition, and also make sure that they’re building their businesses and their lives from a place of integration, not balance.

Balance, as I’m sure many of you know, doesn’t really work, but building it with intentionality, so that you can ultimately get there faster. If you look at the top visionaries in the world, they’re phenomenal at calling their shot — seeing a vision for the future most others can’t — and then making it happen.

For the last decade, over a decade, I’ve solely worked with entrepreneurs. The main focus is, you know, the role of the visionary is to have the vision, hold the vision, communicate it. And it can be really uncomfortable when you’re uncertain of it. So that’s really what we help with.

It was May of 2021, and I’m sitting in my home office in Solana Beach, California, running my copywriting agency, Conscious Copy, helping some of the top business and personal development leaders at the time. I just clicked “Send” on a project that I had been dreaming up for six years prior to when I started the business.

It was to work with the top motivational speaker and trainer in the world — the GOAT, right? The guy who co-owns hundreds of companies and does billions of dollars in top-line revenues. I was hired to come and work with Tony Robbins and his team to help launch the marketing for his upcoming book called Life Force, which was all around regenerative medicine.

I was super excited about it, and I remember clicking “Send” on that project. I was expecting balloons to pop out of my computer or something and feel that electrifying, warm feeling of joy, pride, and feeling like I’d sort of made it.

Instead, I’m just standing there by myself in front of my computer, and I feel hollow — like I feel numb. Nothing. The first thought that went through my mind was, Is this what I’ve been chasing so hard for? You know — the late nights, the sacrifices — and I thought moments like this were going to feel different.

I took some time to really do the work that I was telling a lot of my clients to do — getting clear on, okay, what is it that I really want? And aside from my past, if I could look at the future and get really clear on where I want to be spending my time and my energy, what does that look like?

When I talk about a vivid vision, I just want to define it first. So a vivid vision in our world is a blueprint that paints a clear, vivid picture of exactly what the next three years look like as if they’ve already happened. It’s essentially the story of your future.

When you have a clear North Star, you get to ask yourself this really important question when opportunities show up. When you know what your vision is, you can discern if an opportunity is aligned with the vision or if it’s a seductive distraction.

So I actually tell my clients: you ask, “Is this opportunity aligned to our vision, or is it a seductive distraction?”
